Robin Paradis-Kent, owner of the Stone House Studio, has a Master’s degree in Reading & Writing
and holds WI teaching licenses in Reading, English-Language Arts, General Music and Choral Music.
Piano Lessons
Robin has taught music at the elementary level (12+ years); and has been a private piano instructor since 1979 (4 year olds through adults).She believes in moving forward with you or your child’s music education, from very-beginning beginners, to students who must move from one teacher to another.
Robin Paradis-Kent teaches a classical-based piano curriculum: students learn to play the piano by reading the notes.
She wants you or your child to clearly comprehend the basic foundational elements in order to progress to more individualized preferences. Jazz, pop, rock, soul – all begin with classical roots. There are many methods to use to get to where you or your child want to be: performance for others or just to play for yourself!
Tutoring
Robin has taught English, Reading and Study Skills at the intermediate, high school and collegiate levels (15+ years) and has privately tutored individual students (5 through 63 years old ) since 1985.Robin Paradis-Kent can teach you or your child strategies in reading and writing to help you/your child learn more efficiently in any level of school. She has taught in public and private school districts (the Milwaukee Jewish Community High School; Nicolet; Dominican High School; Brown Deer School District; Lakeland College); she has taught in privately-owned businesses (Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics; Huntington Learning Centers); and she has taught for educational institution programs, as well (Cardinal Stritch Reading and Learning Center; UW – Milwaukee’s College for Kids).
Robin understands different learning styles and needs,
and can match the appropriate educational materials to you or your child,
in order to effect the strongest outcome.
